Position : English is the language of the Global village. The Gujarat University has introduced books of English keeping Functional Approach at the centre. The college has introduced those prescribed books to the students with a hope that Students will enhance their competency in reading, writing, listening and speaking. DepartmentalActivities

  • ‘Wordsmith’-students’ reading in other than syllabus is guided and boosted .Reading and discussion sessions held with students in groups.
  • Oral quiz – in classroom per lecture oral quizto bring attentiveness
  • Seminars on textual – non textual parts of syllabus especially focusing upon development of speaking skill
  • Group Discussion in class room
  • General Discussion in class room
  • Written Test for grammatical points
  • Library going and reading of news papers is compulsory for all students to keep themselves well- equipped with knowledge of current affairs and having firm feet in use of English language.
  • Examinations in collaboration with other agencies – BULATS & CPT under SCOPE, Govt. of Gujarat, Cambridge University.
  • DELL for Spoken English activity.
