Collegiate Womens Development Cell (CWDC)

10/08/2022 ના રોજ સી. યુ. શાહ સાયન્સ કોલેજમાં CWDC અંતર્ગત મીઠાખળી ખાતે નવરંગપુરા ટ્રાફિક પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં સુરક્ષાબંધનનો કાર્યક્રમ યોજાયો હતો. જેમાં કોલેજની વિદ્યાર્થિની બહેનોએ ACP આકાશ પટેલ અને અન્ય સહકર્મીઓને રક્ષા બાંધી તેમના યોગક્ષેમની કામના કરી. કાર્યક્રમમાં CWDC સમિતિના અન્ય સભ્યો પણ ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા. CWDC ઈન્ચાર્જ શ્રીમતી જાનકી વૈદ્યે વિશેષમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે ACP સાહેબે વિદ્યાર્થિનીઓને ટ્રાફિક અને સ્વાસ્થ્ય અંગે માર્ગદર્શન આપ્યું હતું. વિદ્યાર્થિનીઓએ કાર્યક્રમમાં ખુબ જ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ભાગ લીધો હતો.

સી. યુ.શાહ સાયન્સ કોલેજ મા મહિલા સુરક્ષા અને જાગૃતિ સેમિનાર યોજાયો.
આજ રોજ તારીખ 5 જાન્યુઆરી 2022 ના બપોરે 2 કલાકે મહિલા પોલીસ સ્ટેશન દ્વારા ACP મીની જોસેફ સાહેબ અને જલદીપભાઈ મુંધવા દ્વારા મહિલા સુરક્ષા અને જાગૃતિ અને આજના સમયમાં મહિલા સલામતી બાબતે વર્કશોપ સી. યુ.શાહ સાયન્સ કોલેજ મા પ્રિન્સિપાલ. Dr. Sunil P. Parekh અને CWDC Convener/In-charge Mrs. Janki S Vaidya દ્વારા આયોજન કરવામા આવ્યુ હતુ. જેમાં લગભગ 100 જેટલી વિદ્યાર્થીનીઓને હાલ ના સમય માં પોલીસ ની મદદ કઇ રીતે લેવી અને વિવિધ ખરાબ પરિસ્થિતિ, છેડતી જેવી ઘટનાઓમાં છરી, એક્ટિવા ચાવી કે સેફ્ટી પિન અને દુપટ્ટા વગેરે દ્વારા સેલ્ફ ડિફેન્સ ટેકનિક થી પોતાનો સ્વબચાવ કઈ રીતે કરવો. અને આઇ.પી સી ના કાયદાઓ વગેરે વિશે વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ને માર્ગદર્શન આપી માહિતગાર કરવામાં આવી.181 હેલ્પ લાઇન ના મહિલા કાઉન્સિલર દ્વારા માહિતી આપવામાં આવી હતી.

“One day personality development workshop” for students.

We all are well aware that Swami Vivekananda is a youth icon and a great leader. CWDC cell of C. U. Shah Science College had organized a one day Personality Development Workshop in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra, Paschim Karnavati nagar branch on 12.01.2022 . The program started at 10.00 am sharp with prayer. There was a Team of karyakartas from Vivekananda Kendra who conducted the whole program. Dr. Brijesh J. Bhatt, lncharge principal of C U Shah Commerce College addressed the participants in inaugural session. There were around 75 participants in the workshop Our guest speaker was Mr. Girishbhai Brahmbhatt from Government MCA college, Maninagar. The topic of the session was ‘Communication Skills’.

He guided the students regarding this, that how to convey your messages effectively to others and what should be kept in mind while doing so. He said that only talking to each other is not communication. It is transferring your ideas and thoughts to the other person in the same form as you understand it. It may be in verbal or action form. Sometimes there is effective communication by just eyesight only. This is the real personality development, rather personality enhancement. At the same time, one has to be a good listener, rather than being just a hearing person. Effective development of these skills leads you to be a successful person. After the session, participants were divided into four groups and taken to ground for games.

Then there were four different types of games played by the participants. After which there was a group discussion. Then there was presentation from each group. There were four groups. In the end, dr. Sunil P Parekh Incharge Principal of C U Shah Science College, blessed the students and wished them a bright future with high ideals. In the end, students interacted with each other as well as karyakartas. As conclusion, the whole program was highly motivational for the students which enhanced them physically, mentally and spiritually .

Activities done by CWDC

CWDC unit in our institute is an active cell that works for the wholesome development of girl students. It conducts and organizes various activities and programs throughout the year keeping in mind various important issues like health and nutrition, safety and defense, development of their skills etc. Even the members of the CWDC committee are not lagging behind .They are also engaged in activities like spiritual development of youth, sports, culinary skills etc. We also counsel for the issues of girl students in areas like health, harassment, stress relief etc. Following is the list of the activities done during last three years:

A fairly good number of participants were present in each activity. We look forward to plan such programs further in future for the benefit of girl students.
